









The newly developed compact structure for the new radiation therapy and radiation oncology centre has a square base and an inner courtyard. It provides short passages for both patients and personnel.
It houses seven large machines for planning and carrying out the most modern radiotherapy treatment. The patients’ rooms are in a circle surrounding an inner courtyard to create a light, friendly atmosphere. The top floor houses seminar rooms and the management offices. There is a link corridor leading to the wards in the adjacent multi-storey building.
The sloping situation of the building enables the bunkers with the linear accelerators to be built into the slope. Besides that, it helps to minimise the requirements for radiation protection.
The two-storey very transparent entrance façade with its emphasis on colours provides numerous views of the surrounding green areas and lets in a lot of light.
