Fürth Hospital - Womens's Hospital Description
Built in 1931, Fürth Hospital is situated in a spacious park at the edge of the town centre. After initially being extended in the 1960s further restructuring and extensions became necessary in the 1990s.

The modular construction of the women’s hospital is the final stage in the redevelopment. It brings together the children’s hospital, the nursing school and the administration department so that the various areas of medical care for mother and child are within easy reach.

Paediatric psychiatry and the psychiatric day hospital are housed on the ground floor. The obstetrics and gynaecology department on the first floor are complemented by out-patient departments, the medical services, the delivery department and a Caesarean-section operating area.

The patient areas are light and generously furnished. The white plaster façade with its orange accentuated bay windows continue the features of the more recent developments and fit harmoniously into the hospital as a whole.
